Think about the following questions:

If you are a new painter, what have you seen that has made you decide to start painting? What is it you hope to accomplish? If you are somewhat new, what is it you have worked on that has brought you pleasure?  What is it which has brought you aggravation?  What is number one on your list of things you’d like to learn about painting?

If you are quite experienced, what is it you are the most proud of?  What is it you would like to further learn?

Here are a few things which I feel are important about the painting process:

• That it be a fulfilling experience.
• That it be primarily a positive experience
• That you open your mind to other options
• That creativity is a large part of it

That said, the elements of painting that are the most important to me are:Design, Composition, Skill, Creativity,Pleasure and Content. This is a process which can last forever. I hope you enjoy it!
